My love of fitness began in 2013 when I faced my own struggles with losing weight. I was in my early 30’s, had lived in Arizona for about 6 months, and gained 30 lbs. As a corporate trainer, I traveled 90% of the time and never really dieted or worked out in my life so I went to a weight loss clinic.

There were pros and cons to this approach and ultimately, I lost 25 lbs over a 4-month period. However, the method was not healthy nor sustainable as they basically prescribed me a very low-calorie diet. They did, however, teach me a valuable skill that carried me through my journey, and I still employ today which is tracking and logging my food.

A crucial element of my long-term success was the way I changed my relationship with food during this process. Life went on and I was able to keep off the weight but in 2017 I was diagnosed with PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I was prescribed 10 medications, all with horrible side effects, and decided I didn’t want this to be my fate. With the guidance and support of counselors and a personal trainer, I embarked on a path of becoming healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually. After 1 year of hard work, I was medication-free and in the best shape of my life! It started as a weight loss journey and in 2017, it became a wellness journey.

I consider fitness and nutrition as lifelong behavior modifications with a continued focus on improvement. My purpose in life is to help others achieve and maintain a healthy mind, body, and soul through increased activity, conscious food choices, and mindfulness.

I am a dynamic wellness advocate! By leveraging my personal experience and obsession for self-improvement, I promote lifestyle changes for advancement in overall health through nutrition and exercise. My passion is to guide individuals, specifically, those focused on self-realization, to achieve new heights!
